Ethnic Organisations Fund 2012–2015 open for tender
The Office of Multicultural Interests established the Ethnic Organisations Fund in 2009 to support organisations formed specifically to deliver services to culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities.
The fund is aligned with the Office of Multicultural Interests
Strategic Plan 2009–2013.
Ethnic organisations are invited to make an offer that meets the objectives and priority areas identified within the Request for Service. Offers will be evaluated on the basis of the extent to which they provide value for money to the State Party (Department of Local Government, Office of Multicultural Interests). The funding available for each service is between $50,000 and $100,000 per annum.
The tender closes at 4pm, Thursday 31 May 2012.

The City of Rockingham has been commended for raising awareness of young people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds in the Rockingham area.

Mr Castrilli said an exceptional group of individuals and organisations were recognised this year for their work towards improving opportunities for West Australians from all walks of life.
The Department of Sport and Recreation received the Engaging the Community Innovation Award for increasing the number of people from CaLD communities engaging in sport and other recreational activities.
The Business Migrant of the Year Award was awarded to Brothers Shahyar and Faryar Gorjy of Yaran Pty Ltd for achievements in the building and property development industry.
The Minister said this year’s quality of nominees demonstrated the breadth of work being undertaken in multicultural services and business sectors in this State.
