ISHAR provides a safe and culturally appropriate environment for women to access information about health issues and services. ISHAR provides outreach and in-house group activities, individual counselling, advice, mediation, advocacy and referral services delivered by a team of multi-skilled professional staff and bilingual workers. Interpreting services are available for clients through TIS.
ISHAR is an SGP (Settlement Grants Program) provider for 2011-2012
The project assists all clients in the North Metropolitan area to gain access to mainstream services offering accommodation, education, training and employment. Workshops cover issues such as family relationships, domestic/family violence and women’s health.
